man, metal and art
Iron and steel are the main materials of the industrial age. Particulary towards the end of the 20th century these materials in form of rust and patina with its aesthetic effects became very famous, also on buildings, objects or work of art, in the world of architecture and art etc. These days rust has no longer a negative association as expiration of rust, corrosion or scrap – rust formation means now precious metal and patina.
Tina Evertz uses in her last work-serie „Man, Metal & Art“especially a reduced natural colouring.
Therefore, on metal and wood, she produces effects as rust patina, which reflect an incredible vitality and stress the simultaneous movement and metamorphosis
of the material.
